Anita was born in New Zealand and migrated to Australia with her parents at a young age. Anita received a Bachelor of Public Health at Griffith University in 2009 and has worked in Indigenous health since her internship at the Brisbane North Population Health Unit. Anita previously worked with Menzies School of Health Research as a Research Assistant and now works with the Queensland Aboriginal Islander Health Council. Practicing as a Health Promotion Officer Anita’s current work focuses on supporting the Community Controlled Health Services across Queensland to undertake sustainable best-practice workplace activities to create supportive environments for healthy behaviour.
