Kate Kameniar is the Healthy Workers Adviser at the South Australian Council of Social Service (SACOSS). SACOSS is the peak body representing the non-government health and community services sector and has a vision of justice, opportunity and shared wealth for all South Australians. Kate’s role at SACOSS is to support organisations in the non-government health and community services sector to develop workplace initiatives, policies and programs that promote employee health and address chronic disease risk factors of smoking, nutrition, alcohol and physical activity. Kate’s background includes a number of years working in the fitness industry before completing her Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement and Health Studies) through the University of South Australia. She has since held health promotion roles with SA Dental Service, the Continence Foundation of Australia, SACOSS and Southern Cross Care.
